Amber recommended Koloa Fish Market. It was just a little hole-in-the-wall Korean deli. Tasting poke was one of the items on my bucket list. I tried wasabi poke, Korean poke, Maui onion seaweed poke but settled on the Tako poke. Tako poke is octopus and onions. It was amazing!
Our next stop was the marina. I am going to stop the blog here today as I am not sure how I want to describe the day. I can say some of the moments were amazing. Others went terribly wrong. No one was lost but more than one of us questioned what the heck was going on. Now I will let this rest for a day and maybe write about it tomorrow. I do have some amazing photos.
Today we have a very exciting day planned. On the catamaran trip to the Na Pali coast, we met a young couple celebrating her birthday - Kelsey & Owen. Owen is a tour guide at one of the river kayaking companies. On his day off he likes to fish for what ever is biting. Right now it is tuna. Yup, we are going deep sea fishing today. Last night after a quick shopping trip to the Safeway, I have all the makings of a pretty good boat lunch - ham & roast beef sandwiches on asiago rolls, tortilla chips, sliced mango (from the road side stand) and snickerdoodle cookies from the bakery.
Hope everyone back home is having a safe, wonderful week.
Did Tim eat Poke? Hope their are no physical scars from your SCUBA dive. Sounds as though there are some emotional ones. Yikes!
